From village to village and city to city, the Camino de Santiago leads through all different landscapes of northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. Many of these villages are that tiny, that they have even less than 30 inhabitants. However, these tiny villages achieved fame and a high degree of popularity solemnly through the Camino de Santiago.
Many returned pilgrims know the comforting feeling that can be felt at the mention of a village on the Way of St. James, where one has had a particularly important experience or had a meaningful encounter with another human being.
