The patch with the three characters pilgrim / scallop and Jacob’s arrow can be found on many backpacks all around the world, all from people who have walked the Camino.
It can be easily sewn or ironed on clothing or fabric, and thus have you and your luggage easily be identified as “Peregrino” (pilgrim) on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Many people collect these patches. It is also a nice souvenir of your own pilgrimage.
